Dear Mr Potential Huggie-Wuggie, will you please sing for me?!

If as a man you are reading this, you might sometimes be tempted to  think that I only care about my own opinion. Perhaps you imagine that I think that I am right about everything, and I want to assert my opinion on everyone.  Nothing could be less true. You know what?  I would love it if any potential Mr Huggie-Wuggie out there, started writing his own blog too, ideally in English if you are bilingual!

I would love to know what you think. You know when you meet someone, and you jump to conclusions about them?  I would love to know who you are as a man, behind the conclusions I may have unconsciously drawn about you. What you think about yourself. What you think about life. What you think about marriage. Whisper  – what you think about sex! Wait, did I just say that out loud?!!! By all means share this, but please do not go into explicit details!!! 🤣🤣🤣
But only to the extent that you are comfortable talking about any of these things, of course.
Will you please sing for me, by creating your own blog, and writing blog posts? You know what, my own voice has been singing alone for so long. I would love to hear your own voice too. I would love to evaluate if our two voices, yours and mine, could one day perhaps sing in harmony.

And you know, if you are in any way a real HW contender, I promise that I will read the blog.
Oh who am I kidding, this post is directed at only one individual!  There is only one person’s blog I would be interested in reading.  OK, having admitted that there is one particular individual whose opinion I am most interested in, the question is – should I in any way try to communicate this to him.  Hmm, considering that I don’t know that much about his life, maybe not yet!  For instance, I cannot even categorically say whether he is single. If you are reading this, and you suspect that I might be talking about you, will you at least find a way of letting me know? Perhaps you could put up a subtle facebook post about something relevant. Or perhaps you could actually “like” one of my daily prayer request posts, for once! So I know whether it might be worth my while to pray regarding you.

All that being said, I think that this is a very useful exercise for anyone, as a means of getting to understand yourself better. What I often do is to read through relationship posts, to see posts that provoke a reaction in me, then I sit and try to frame a response. And you know, you don’t even have to share your blog with anyone at all. Furthermore, of late I have seen so many people make the observation that I too have observed regarding writing: sitting down and pouring out all your thoughts is incredibly therapeutic, not least because it helps you understand just what is happening in your own heart.
